Dexter's Lab(sketch dump) by Glytzy Dexter's Lab(sketch dump) by Glytzy
yeah! My 3rd favorite cartoon show :iconwoootplz: *sigh* not only I miss this show but I miss the old Cartoon Network. The new toons are pretty cool too, like Adventure Time, but the old ones are the best for me! :D

that random guy's suppose to be one of Dexter's friends. I remember that he was in the episode where they went to a store selling dolls and there's a bunch of girls saying "N.R.F.B." ("never removed from box") stuffs. I forgot the title though.

Dexter's Laboratory characters belong to Genndy Tartakovsky

You know, Glytzy, I used to watch Dexter's Laboratory and I consider Dexter's Laboratory to be my most favorite comedic cartoon, my most favorite action cartoon being Samurai Jack.

Anyway, Glytzy, it is my lifelong dream to do a movie project might be an even bigger, even more complex, and even more ambitious epic motion picture film production project than James Cameron's Avatar, even if it is a colossal and monumental 12-part live action/animated epic, even if it is to be called "Dexter's Odyssey", even if it is something of a fanmade yet theatrically released big-screen dinosaur-infused reboot of sorts of the 90s kids cartoon show, "Dexter's Laboratory" (TV, 1996-2003) and that show's characters, even if it is intended by yours truly to be my magnum opus, a great epic masterpiece of the fusion of live action and animation on a never-before-seen scale, scope, etc., and even if, like "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" (1988), it might also mix IMAX and/or Panavision or so live action with mainly 2D Traditional Hand Drawn Animation of the Dexter's Laboratory cartoon characters.

Now, the twelve live action/animated epic movies that will comprise Dexter's Odyssey will be set in an fictional alternate universe/fantasy world inhabited by humans, cartoon characters and dinosaurs, and will follow Dexter the Boy Genius, his ballerina sister DeeDee, and two of DeeDee's ballerina friends MeeMee and LeeLee (who are black and Asian, respectively) as they embark on a quest to destroy the evil Dark Lord Mandark (who in the Dexter's Laboratory show is Dexter's rival neighbor, but in the Dexter's Odyssey movies is basically like Sauron from J.R.R. Tolkien's three-volume epic fantasy masterwork, The Lord of the Rings, complete with a volcanic lair, except that Mandark also seeks to capture or kidnap Dexter's sister DeeDee and claim her as his bride by right) when one of DeeDee's friends LeeLee turned out to be, in fact, the one girl who, according to an ancient prophecy, will bring about the downfall of the evil and powerful Mandark, stop his evil conquest to enslave the humans and cartoon characters (for which Mandark not only uses his great, evil magic, but also abuses high technology) dead in its tracks and save the world--and civilization as Dexter, DeeDee, MeeMee and LeeLee knew it.

As they grow up during the course of the story, Dexter and LeeLee began to fully express their love and romance for each other, even as Dexter, DeeDee, MeeMee and LeeLee unite and rally all of the world's free peoples, whether be they humans or toons, and who are ultimately victorious against the forces of darkness and evil in The Great War Between the Two Avatars (The Good Avatar being, in fact, DeeDee's Asian friend LeeLee and with The Dark Avatar being Mandark).

Dexter's Odyssey is going to be an epic, even emotional journey that, from the time Dexter, DeeDee, MeeMee and LeeLee set out on their quest to destroy Mandark as the cartoon children that we all know and love (Dexter will be age 8 or 9 and DeeDee and her friends MeeMee and LeeLee will be age 11 or 12 by the time all four of them begin their quest) to their final struggle against the Dark Lord Mandark and his forces in the Land of Astronoma in their fully grown adulthood (Dexter will be age 24 or 25 by then and DeeDee and her two friends will be age 27 or 28 by then) will take fifteen or sixteen years to accomplish, a journey that also takes Dexter, DeeDee and her friends through a variety of terrain and environments, but at least Dexter's Odyssey might hopefully be the biggest, most ambitious and most complex epic motion picture film production project especially since James Cameron's Avatar, or would it be?

Anyway, here's a logo design and a poster design that I did for my intended and would-be magnum opus:

So, what do you think, especially regarding my logo and poster designs for Dexter's Odyssey? And speaking of the Dexter's Odyssey logo, what does the logo look like to you in terms of the look, style, font and appearance of the logo and letters, and what does the Dexter’s Odyssey logo remind you of?

Hey there Tim! (okay, I'm not good at explaining stuffs and all but I'll try my best hehe :)) So, about your logo, it seems to look nice. I like it!... but from my own opinion, I would prefer to use the font from the show(Dex' lab)

From your project, it's really...fantastic! I like the story! I hope you can have the chance to finish it and make it as a movie someday with, of course, the creator...Genndy ^_^ hehe

Oh, a little advice, "Big things come from small things"... first things' first...Practice! you know...learn about film-making, animations or directing and stuffs. Practice by making some short videos first ^_^... And always keep in mind to believe in yourself and never give up! Believe that you can reach your dreams someday.

Well, I guess that's all! I hope this helped you, my friend :)
